mot byen, mot kulturens forurensing. De streber, vi ler av deres streben – og
nettopp slik er livet.”

The Duck Variations – by David Mamet
Verk has chosen a modern cult-classic for their new production; the acclaimed off-off-Broadway play, “The Duck Variations”, by the American playwright David Mamet. The duck variations is his first dramatext and is sharp, witty and filled with warm sympathy. To men sits on a bench in a park. Their conversation is apparantly about the mating of ducks, but soon they reveal their feelings about naturelaws, friendship and death. Verk has cut everything down to the bone. Emphasizing simplicity in scenografi and style, Verk has reduced the theatre to it´s essential being; an event, a meeting between two people and the public here and now, accompanied by jazz music.
